Leeds United v Huddersfield Town

I don’t know why, but there seems something significant about 10 games to go. It’s the start of a countdown isn’t it?

I always liken getting my season ticket to buying a ticket for a rollercoaster and that’s how this game feels. We are ready to start the final twists and turns that we know will make us slightly nervous, a little nauseous but ultimately excited as we head for the Premier League.

This year feels different, there is almost an air of when not if now about promotion. Last year taught us not to speak too soon but a win tomorrow and the chasing pack are running out of games.

We go into the game on the back of four straight wins, a run which has seen Leeds score 7 goals whilst not conceding any.

It is unlikely we will see a change to the starting line-up with Tyler Roberts showing his ability to make an impact from the bench last week.

Mateusz Klich looks set to start his 85th Championship game in a row. That is a phenomenal stat given how tough this league is and is testament both to his fitness and stamina but also his temperament. Playing in the centre of midfield, it is a remarkable achievement.

Huddersfield also come into this game on the back of a 4-0 win, having defeated Charlton last weekend. They are also likely to name to same starting XI, however Andy King may be available following a hamstring injury.

Previous years would have seen them favourites for this game but not this year. They had their time, this is ours.

10 to go.

Let’s do this.
