#LeedsUnitedandMe – Kristian Sharples

We all hold memories and associations with Leeds United and the club means different things to each one of us.

Kristian Sharples is the latest supporter to share his Leeds United and Me story.

  1. What does Leeds United mean to you?

Family! Leeds United is something I share with my family but like a family member they can make us happy, proud, disappoint us, put us through emotional hell but will always love them!

2. Favourite game?

I’ve got two, Aston Villa at home Boxing Day 2004 when I was mascot and the Boxing Day game against Blackburn which was utter chaos!

3. Favourite Leeds United player of all time?

As a goalkeeper Nigel Martyn was a bit of a hero, but my favourite of all time would be Lucas Radebe, pure class.

4. Favourite goal?

Ayling v Huddersfield this year was special but I would have to say the winner against Blackburn on Boxing Day 2018. Scenes.

5. Earliest Leeds United memory?

Going down to my local independent sport shop to get some boots ready to start playing aged 6. I left with a pair of Puma Kings and a Leeds goalkeeper shirt circa 98!

6. Funniest Leeds United moment?

Going to watch Leeds away in the FA Cup at Wigan but sitting with the Wigan fans and celebrating the equaliser, I was only 12 and those around me sat in silence.

7. Favourite Manager?

Bielsa

8. Predictions for the next 5 years?

A return to the Premier League, establish ourselves while still playing our brilliant 100 mile per hour game and who knows returns to Europe?
