Leeds United women got their 2020-21 FAWNL Division One North campaign underway this afternoon, in an opening fixture against Norton Ladies.

Leeds started strongly with chances early on and took the lead through debutant Laura Bartup. They continued to enjoy high levels of possession in the first half and nearly doubled their lead through Aaliyah Nolan who was also making her Leeds debut.

Norton came out strong in the second half, Tierney firing just over, before Leeds had chances of their own through Abbie Brown, who was denied by a fine save, and Rebecca Hunt who headed just wide.
