Preview: Blackburn Rovers v Leeds United
Tomorrow, for the first time in our 100-year history, we will play a league game in July.
The situation still feels surreal, yet here we are with six games to go and a gap of six points between ourselves and Brentford in third.
There is no doubt that the mid-week draw has increased the tension and nerves amongst the fans but we one thing about the restart is that there is little time to dwell on previous results. We have the chance to maintain our position at the top and each game sees us one step nearer promotion.
Leeds have injury concerns over Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas and we have yet to hear whether either are likely to feature tomorrow. I think it is likely we will see a start for Gjanni Alioski who has been particularly impressive off the bench in our previous two games.
Blackburn are themselves in the midst of an injury crisis with 8 players injured and Ben Brereton suspended following his dismissal against Barnsley on Tuesday, leaving Tony Mowbray short on options.
Leeds have a point to prove tomorrow, and all 3 to bring home.
In Bielsa’s team we trust.
