Tis’ the season…
Tomorrow’s match against Fulham is our chance to get our promotion campaign back on track after last week’s blip. How times have changed when a draw is considered a blip!
A result that might have been a blessing in disguise and one which might actually help us in that we now have a point to prove and areas to work on rather than just coasting through.
Coasting through is not very Leeds is it? I think we would be lost without the drama.
This match was one of my concerns, but strangely enough, I am less concerned now we have something to prove, both to ourselves and the rest of the league.
Leeds go into tomorrow with a strong chance of Liam Cooper returning to take his place in defence and we have missed his leadership and calmness at the back in the games he has been absent.
Despite holding a 12 point advantage over Fulham, they will still pose a strong threat, currently occupying the final play-off spot. Although they will be without a number of their key players tomorrow including Harry Arter, Maxime Le Marchand and Denis Odoi.
This is a fixture Leeds have not won since March 2015, with 6 out of the last 7 games ending with honours even between the sides and Fulham coming out on top in the last encounter between the sides in April 2018.
We are likely to go into the festive period in second place behind West Brom but as we saw last year, being top at Christmas actually means very little when May comes around.
