Preview: Leeds United v Liverpool
It’s Monday night lights at Elland Road as we welcome Liverpool as visitors.
A fixture set to be overshadowed due to the recent announcement of the European Super League, which will see 12 teams compete in a new midweek competition. Liverpool are one of the teams signed up to the new tournament.
It’s a fixture which we have the potential to win and ensure we keep our place in the top half of the Premier League.
We will be without Captain Liam Cooper who misses out through suspension and both Raphinha and Rodrigo will face late fitness tests ahead of the game.
Liverpool have no new injury concerns, with Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk all long absentees from their squad.
A win for Liverpool would see them back in the top 4, however our recent form shows the potential we have and after the ESL announcement, it’s looks like the majority of the footballing world will be Team Leeds for the evening!
In Bielsa we trust.
