Newcastle are the visitors to Elland Road tonight as Leeds United aim to get back on track following defeat to West Ham last Friday.
Steve Bruce’s team are currently one place ahead of us in the league with 17 points. A win tonight would bring us level on points and would ease any talk of dropping into the relegation places.
We are still without Robin Koch and Diego Llorente, meaning that we will likely see Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper in the centre of defence.
Marcelo Bielsa said that he will not be announcing his team news in advance so we will need to wait to see the starting line up. We do have Jamie Shackleton and Pablo Hernandez are fit and available so we may well see a start for one of them try and boost our attacking options.
Newcastle have doubts over Jamaal Lascelles, Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser and have concerns over fatigue in the squad after the recent Covid outbreak.
I think this game provides the opportunity to get back our season back on track and provide a confidence boost ahead of the festive period.
