Preview: Leeds United v Preston

The final home game of the decade takes place at Elland Road later today.

We host 5th place Preston looking to get our promotion campaign back on track after our defeat to Fulham last weekend.

What we know for certain is that Bielsa will make changes to the team in light of Pablo Hernandez’s hamstring injury. Gjanni Alioski will likely start at left back, with Stuart Dallas moving up into midfield.

Barry Douglas is also missing through illness, however more positive news is that both Jamie Shackleton and Tyler Roberts are once again available for selection, with both likely to take their place on the bench.

With Hernandez missing, the return of Tyler Roberts is particularly timely as he offers game changing abilities, one that I feel has been missing from the bench in the past couple of games.

Preston are not without selection issues themselves and will be without Joe Rafferty and Darnell Fisher who are currently suspended, with doubts also over the fitness of Daniel Johnson.

Preston will be buoyed by our last two results and will come to Elland Road hoping to spoil the festivities. We need to play positively today and stick to the football that has seen us go 8 points clear of third place.

All 3 points would be the perfect late Christmas present.
