It has been two long weeks without a game but tomorrow finally sees the return of Championship football when Leeds take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
Marcelo Bielsa was focused on the forthcoming weeks in his press conference, highlighting that he is aiming for two players for every position as we go into a run of 10 games in 6 weeks.
With that in mind, we are unlikely to see any players risked before they are ready.
Eddie Nketiah and Adam Forshaw are already ruled out of tomorrow’s game with Jamie Shackleton also likely to need more time to recover. Liam Cooper has a chance of playing after the injury picked up against Blackburn but given the fixture congestion, I would be surprised to see him play tomorrow.
More positive news is that Gjanni Alioski is available and Stuart Dallas is also fit to play despite being ruled out of Northern Ireland’s game on Tuesday.
The match could also see Izzy Brown return from injury for Luton. A player we never saw the best of at Elland Road during his loan spell, he has been in good form for Luton with five assists in his last 7 games.
It has been nearly 12 years since our last League meeting with Luton, back in January 2008 when the points were shared at a 1-1 draw.
Luton go into this game on the back of just one win in their last 6 games and hopefully that will extend to one in 7 after tomorrow.
