Preview: Nottingham Forest v Leeds United

Tomorrow sees Leeds United take on Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.

There are times at the moment where it feels like we are heading for a repeat of last year, but tomorrow is our chance to stop the déjà vu and start believing in promotion again.

Marcelo Bielsa knows this and said in his press conference that the team need to recover the confidence of the fans.

To do that, we need to see goals and a return to the performances we saw earlier in the season. A drought has crept in over the last few games and we have remained goalless for 3 out of the last 4.

The Millwall game showed that we still have that performance and fighting spirit, but we need to see it every week.

I doubt we will see a change in the starting line up tomorrow, possibly changes on the bench with Gaetano Berardi back to fitness.

We might see Jean-Kevin, but when Bielsa said he has played 3 games in 8 months, it doesn’t seem like he has full confidence that he is physically ready. It also gives you the sense that Augustine wasn’t top of his list of transfer targets.

Forest hasn’t been the happiest of hunting grounds for us, with just one win in the previous seven. However, they are coming into this game on the back of a defeat to Birmingham

Hopefully the curse of the Manager of the Month award will strike again following Sabri Lamouchi receiving the accolade for January.

This is Leeds United and we all know it will never be a straightforward promotion to the Premier League, but an easy win tomorrow would be more than welcome.
