Swansea City 0-1 Leeds United
Four points now stand between Leeds United and the Premier League.
Yesterday’s result brought us ever closer to a return to the promised land but I think that it was a performance that showed just how far this team have come.
It was a game with few chances, with Stuart Dallas and Patrick Bamford both having half chances in the first half and Swansea going close with Rhian Brewster producing a fine save from Illan Meslier.
The half time break saw Dallas and Tyler Roberts replaced by Gjanni Alioski and Pablo Hernandez but chances were still few and far between.
Patrick Bamford came close with a header from close range but could only find the arms of the keeper.
Swansea came with a game plan to starve us of space and to stop us playing.
This plan was working for 88 minutes and Marcelo Bielsa was pacing up and down the technical area, a scene likely to have been replicated in most households watching the game.
Then the magic happened, from El Mago himself. Pablo Hernandez finding space to strike from 12 yards out to seal a 1-0 win.
A win which puts us 6 points clear of Brentford in third with just three games to go.
This is the team we have been waiting 16 years for, the special group that finally take us back to where we belong.
